University of New Hampshire football player Todd Walker was shot and killed on Boulder’s University Hill in Colorado on Friday, according to WMUR New Hampshire. Police reportedly said he was shot during a “botched robbery attempt.” Todd Walker, 20, and a female friend were walking home after a St. Patrick’s Day party in Boulder when a man wearing a black bandanna over his face confronted them, according to ABC affiliate KMGH. According to the Daily Camera, the two got into a physical confrontation with the man and the woman was able to pull the bandanna off his face. Police said that is when the man fired a shot into the air and then fired at Walker. KMGH reported that he was taken to Boulder Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
