Gary Dobson, 36, and David Norris, 34, plead not guilty at the Old Bailey via videolink Two men appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday to deny the murder of Stephen Lawrence 18 years ago. Gary Dobson, 36, and David Norris, 34, pleaded not guilty to the charge when they appeared in court via videolink from Belmarsh prison in south-east London. Lawrence was a black 18-year-old A-level student who was stabbed to death in Eltham, south-east London, in April 1993. Dobson and Norris, both of south London, remain in custody. They are to face trial on 14 November. A pre-trial hearing will take place on 29 September. Lawrence’s mother Doreen, 58, was in court for Friday’s brief hearing.
