Phone hacking: police make further arrest

Detectives to question 35-year-old man on conspiracy to intercept voicemail messages Detectives investigating phone hacking by the News of the World have arrested a man at his home. The 35 year old was arrested at 5.55am on Wednesday on suspicion of conspiring to intercept communications. Unlike many of those arrested by the 50-strong team of detectives from Operation Weeting the man was not arrested by prior appointment. Following the early-morning arrest he was taken to a north London police station. He will be questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to intercept voicemail messages, contrary to Section1 (1) Criminal Law Act 1977. Scotland Yard refused to make any further comment.
