Red Deer Rebels forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was the first player selected in the Friday’s NHL draft, picked by the Oilers. The Avalanche took Gabriel Landeskog with the second choice, following by the Panthers’ selection of Jonathan Huberdeau (June 24)
