Sixty four million people have registered to vote in Nigeria’s elections in April. The process of registering voters has been marred by violence and irregularities. And it is still thought that millions may miss out on voting. But the technology behind the registration process is being hailed as a milestone – that is because it has been developed by a Nigerian.
