German Chancellor Angela Merkel speaks at the beginning of the weekly cabinet… BERLIN (AP) – Chancellor Angela Merkel says that Germany will do what it can to help Greece regain markets’ confidence. Merkel spoke Tuesday at a German industry conference also attended by Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou. The two were to hold a meeting later in the day. Merkel says she has “absolute respect” for structural reforms pushed through by Papandreou’s government and the most important thing is for Greece to win back confidence.
