Glenn Beck said that a New York Times columnist’s words on a recent episode of Bill Maher’s show were the kind that “leads to death camps.” Media writer David Carr said some things he likely wished he hadn’t on Friday’s “Real Time.” Responding to Bill Maher’s angry comment about Chris Christie–Maher said that he was shocked that Christie was the governor of a “smart” state like New Jersey–Carr made a seeming crack about the Midwest. “If it’s Kansas, Missouri, no big deal,” he said. “You know, that’s the dance of the low-sloping foreheads. The middle places, right?” As the audience laughed nervously, Carr said, “Did I just say that aloud?” Carr quickly apologized for the remarks in a Saturday tweet. On his Monday show, Beck took Carr’s words very seriously, tying them to what he described as a history of genocidal progressivism. (Beck has repeatedly connected the concept of progressivism to Nazism and eugenics.) “This leads to death camps,” he said. “these are the kinds of words that… always lead to mass death… why not kill the low-sloping foreheads?” Carr’s statement, he said, was an example of “the New York Times revealing themselves.” Towards the end of his comments, Beck noted that his time on Fox News is almost up. (His last day is Thursday.) “We have four days left on Fox, because I really believe in what I’m saying,” he said. WATCH:
