Federal Judge Halts Ala. Immigration Law
A federal judge halted a controversial immigration law in Alabama. The judge blocked the law from taking effect for up to 30 days to allow more time to review various challenges. Most of the provisions were supposed to take effect Sept. 1. (Aug. 30)
