An ESPN article asking if Michael Vick, the NFL quarterback who was convicted of dog-fighting offenses, would have been treated differently if he was white, is stirring controversy. The article features a digitally created image showing what Vick may look like if he was white. The image prompted angry blowback on from the blogsphere. ESPN responded by saying that it was “trying to create a meaningful discussion about race in sports.” WATCH VIDEO AT THE TOP
