Chris Christie: No, Really, I am Not Running for President

Chris Christie (R) again announced Tuesday that he definitely was not running for president, and he added that the Republican Party’s eventual nominee may want to think twice before picking him as a running mate. “I don’t know that there is anybody in America that would necessarily think that my personality is best suited for being number two,” Christie told reporters at a press conference in Trenton. “I just don’t think I have the personality to be asked,” he explained. “I mean, seriously. Can you imagine? You know, the guy would probably want to get a food taster.” It’s generally considered bad form for politicians to admit they are seeking the vice presidential nomination, but a potential candidate suggesting that he might poison the future president may be a completely new tactic for seeking office.
