Sheri Simonek has spent the past four months aching for contact with her daughter. But when the mother opened her Facebook account last Friday and discovered a private note from her missing 15-year-old, she could not have felt too comforted. The message: I’m married, I’m pregnant, I’m living in Mexico. “I believe she wants to come home, but she is scared for the man she is with now, thinking that he is going to go to jail,” Simonek told ABC affiliate KERO-TV. Alisa Wheeler vanished around midnight on June 21. At the time, investigators, as well as Wheeler’s family, believed that she had fled to Mexico with an older boyfriend. That man later turned out to be married, so Wheeler split-up with him and has since begun a new relationship with a 23-year-old named Chino, according to Simonek. One of Wheeler’s close friends started a Facebook page for anyone concerned to leave prayers. Simonek says she’s willing to do almost anything to have her daughter back, even pay for her new boyfriend to enter the United States. “If that’s what makes her happy and for her to come home, I will help him,” she said.
