Judging by the comments that previous Overrated lists have received (not to mention the book itself), many people don’t like it when something is called “overrated.” It’s almost as if, by describing Star Trek or the Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as overrated, I’m saying they’re bad. Not so. It’s just that the gushiness, the adulation reserved for such iconic products is more than practically anything warrants. Here are a few more things that are pretty good, but not as good as they’re reputed to be. If you still want to complain… well, I won’t try to stop you.
