“We were doing Southern food before it was cool,” said Rob McDaniel, executive chef at the Lake Martin restaurant Springhouse, who will serve as sous chef when Hot and Hot Fish Club executive chef Chris Hastings competes Sunday on Food Network's “Iron Chef America.”
