NYT Print Edition G-20 Headline (‘Obama’s Economic View Is Rejected’) Watered Down Online

Rush mentioned this when he opened his show today , and it deserves a bit of graphic support. If you're on NB's home page, the graphic at the top right is a picture of the top right corner of today's New York Times print edition (it's also here at the Times until tomorrow's print edition comes out, and captured here for future reference). The headline, as you can see, is: “Obama's Economic View Is Rejected on World Stage.” Ouch. But there's also a story about the story, specifically concerning its stinging headline. read more

Android 2.2 update for Samsung Epic 4G leaks out

We’re still waiting on official Froyo builds for the American Galaxy S variants, but they seem to be getting close. How close? Well, close enough so that you can taste a leak for the Epic 4G if you like to live dangerously. The binary comes conveniently pre-rooted by the source and has a handful of known issues — most notably some sluggish / buggy web browsing — but we guess that’s the price you pay for stepping out on the bleeding edge. Let’s hope an official release isn’t too far behind. Android 2.2 update for Samsung Epic 4G leaks out originally appeared on Engadget on Fri, 12 Nov 2010 19:01:00 EDT. Asia-Pacific leaders seek amity after G20

Regional security tensions between China, Japan could hamper efforts to forge goodwill Saturday, November 13, 2010 – Powered by –> Linda Sieg and Tim Kelly Reuters YOKOHAMA, Japan: Asia-Pacific leaders begin talks Saturday on freeing up trade in the region, a day after a sometimes rancorous G-20 summit papered over differences on how to keep a fragile global economic recovery on track. The 21 Asia-Pacific economies, nine of whom including the US and China also belong to the Group of 20 (G-20) major economies, are set to urge policies for balanced growth and start work on a vast free trade area in the fast-growing region. But the aftertaste of rifts exposed at the G-20 summit in Seoul, where…

Denial : House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has the “overwhelming support” of fellow Democrats in her bid to become minority leader in the next Congress, and says she’s not to blame for the Democrats’ mid-term debacle. Nancy Pelosi“We didn’t lose the election because of me,” Ms. Pelosi told National Public Radio in an interview that aired Friday morning. “Our members do not accept that.” Instead, the California Democrat attributes the loss of at least 60 seats to high unemployment and “$100 million of outside, unidentified funding.” “Any party that cannot turn (9.5% unemployment) into political gains should hang up the gloves,” she said. A lot of her members will disagree with that, especially those that got tossed out. Pelosi became the face of the great Democrat overreach on Obamacare, stimulus, government takeovers, etc. If she becomes Minority Leader she will continue to be the face of the Democrats in the House and that will bode ill for her party in 2012.
