Update ‘em all! That’s Toshiba’s laptop motto here at CES. Along with the A and M series , Toshiba’s plugged its Qosmio X505 with the latest Intel Core i7-2630QM and Core i5-2410M processors. The powerhouse multimedia laptop is still just that, and in fact, its NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphics with 1.5GB DDR5 discrete graphics memory can support NVIDIA’s 3DTV Play , which lets you output 3D content or games over HDMI to your living room’s 3D display. Other than that the X505 still has all the high end features you’d ever want in a 18.4-inch chassis, including a 1920 x 1080-resolution display, Harman/Kardon speakers, HD webcam, and a Blu-ray drive. The rig will be available in the coming months for $1300 to $1900 — hit the break for one more picture. Toshiba ‘s CES laptop flood continues with a refresh of its L Series Satellites, including the 13.3-inch L635, the 14-inch L645, the 15.6-inch L655 and the 17.3-inch L675. All models will be available in a variety of colors in the Helios pattern you’ve come to know and love from Toshiba. Spec-wise, you’ll have a choice of Intel or AMD dual-core CPUs, including Intel’s Core i3-380M, Core i5-480M, and the 2nd generation Core i3-2310M and Core i5-2410M on the L650 models. AMD options include the dual-core Athlon II and Turion II, and both dual and quad-core Phenom II CPUs. All models can pack up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, and up to 640GB hard drives, plus they all have built-in webcams. Select models will also boast Bluetooth and HDMI out. The refreshed Satellite L Series laptops will be available some time in the first half of this year, for prices ranging from $469.99 to $849.99. If you’ve been closely following Meizu , chances are you would’ve heard about the wild M9 launch across China from just a few days ago. Sadly, said smartphone maker told us that it has absolutely no interest in reaching out to other countries in the near future, but potential foreign buyers now have an option: Hong Kong-based DealExtreme is offering the 8GB Android Froyo device for $449 — a $70 markup — with free shipping. Not a bad alternative to the M9′s Hummingbird buddy Galaxy S that goes for about $570 sans contract, and bear in mind that the former is still the first Android phone to sport a 3.5-inch 960 x 640 display. Maybe this is a good time to spend your holiday cash. Not that Las Vegas is terribly difficult to navigate, but TomTom’s unveiling its latest PNDs here at CES , regardless. Up first is the GO 2505 M LIVE, the followup to the Go Live 1000 that was launched last April. This one packs a familiar design, with a 5-inch glass touchpanel, Bluetooth handsfree calling support, pinch-to-zoom mapping and a newfangled voice recognition system. You’ll also get the full suite of LIVE services, including TomTom HD traffic, local search, fuel prices and weather updates. It should be noted that said services rely on AT&T’s wireless network, and this unit marks the first time that US motorists will have access to TomTom’s HD Traffic. It’ll hit retail in mid-2011 for $349, with a “trial subscription” of LIVE thrown in gratis. Moving on, there’s the new VIA series of mid-range PNDs. The VIA 1405 and 1435 both sport 4.3-inch panels, while the VIA 1505 and 1535 inch up to 5.0-inches. The fourpack will be available with or without lifetime maps / traffic, and you’ll get voice recognition and Bluetooth handsfree calling to boot. These will ship in mid-2011 as well with prices starting at $169, and you can catch the full release just after the break.
