That’s what supporters are hoping—and opponents are fearing—as a group of defectors attempts to organize an armed movement against President Bashar al-Assad. In a sense, that’s not too shocking given the carrier’s current portfolio, but it’s still a truly dominating figure. We’re going out on a limb and guessing that the other 10 percent are enterprise BlackBerry users, mixed in with a few enigmatic renegades for good measure. When asked about other platforms, like RIM, the CTO mentioned he was hopeful for a comeback from the latest crop of Canuck-sourced BlackBerry devices. He also noted that video was responsible for over half the traffic on T-Mob’s 4G network. Finally, when asked about the iPhone 5, Broadman responded coyly : “the ball is in Apple’s court. [We'd] love to have the iPhone… whenever Apple lets us know.” In other words, don’t bank on a T-Mob iPhone early next month . A typical Nickelodeon event, Worldwide Day of Play featured plenty of gack as well as the requisite Nick star guest appearance, this time in the form of Victoria Justice. But there was a special surprise: LeBron James! The Miami Heat star joined the First Lady to teach the kiddies about the importance of fitness. But by night FLOTUS ditched her yoga pants and zip-up and donned a black glittering ensemble for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Phoenix Awards dinner in Washington, D.C. With her husband in black tie, Michelle wore a long sequin skirt by Michael Kors and a black tee cinched with a Peter Soronen corset belt, accessorized with chunky black bracelets and a sparkling necklace. While we don’t love Obama’s very “mommy” off-duty attire (flared sweatpants, Michelle? Really?) we adore this creative black tie look. We also, for the record, adore the super cute pic of LeBron hugging the First Lady. Truly adorbz. Check out Michelle on- and off-duty looks below!

(Liberal newspaper types attacked Mrs. Bush for the cameo.)

EasyJet disclosed Haji-Ioannou’s plans on Monday, in what appeared to be a pre-emptive strike against the entrepreneur, who remains a major shareholder. Haji-Ioannou has had a turbulent relationship with the airline in recent years and agreed as recently as last October not to set up a rival. Easyjet said that its founder “intends to set up an airline branded Fastjet”. Haji-Ioannou has already set up a website with the URL fastjet.com, which currently says only: “Fastjet.com by Stelios. Coming soon!” against a vivid red background that calls to mind easyJet’s own orange branding. Haji-Ioannou declined to give more details of the launch, saying only that he will not now abide by the terms of last October’s agreement. He accused easyJet of breaching its provisions by smearing him in off-the-record briefings to journalists. Under the terms of its flotation in 2000, easyJet licensed the brand from Haji-Ioannou’s company easyGroup. It agreed to use the brand only for its core activity – running an airline – and to limit any other revenues it made to no more than a quarter of total sales. But after a boom in budget travel and the introduction of new revenue lines such as baggage check-in fees, Haji-Ioannou went to court to argue that the agreement had been breached. The damaging row was resolved in October last year, with easyJet increasing the annual royalty it paid to easyGroup. Instead of getting £1 a year, easyGroup now receives a percentage of easyJet’s revenues, amounting to almost £9m for the first two years alone, and a possible £65m over 10 years. Under the terms of that deal, Haji-Ioannou separately agreed “not to use his own name or a derivation of it to brand any other airline which flies to or from any country in Europe for a period of five years”. Nor is he allowed to hold a stake larger than 10% in another European airline. He receives £300,000 a year in return for those commitments. Haji-Ioannou said on Monday that the non-compete agreement had been invalidated because a clause committing both parties to enhance the reputation of the easyJet brand, as well as his personal reputation, had been breached. He issued a statement, saying: “Sir Stelios strongly believes that the directors of easyJet, via a smear campaign conducted by off-the-record briefings to journalists, have repeatedly breached the clause, so he has terminated the effect of the letter for repudiatory breach and has rejected all payments offered under this letter since May 2011.” EasyJet said that it would “take necessary action to protect the rights of easyJet and the interests of its shareholders”. It added: “Sir Stelios also alleges that easyJet has breached the terms of the binding comfort letter between him and easyJet of 10 October 2010 and that that letter is no longer in force, claims which easyJet emphatically rejects. EasyJet continues to seek constructive dialogue with easyGroup and Sir Stelios.” Easyjet Airline industry Budget travel Travel & leisure Alex Hawkes guardian.co.uk

Multiple news sources report that PETA disapproves of Prince William’s birthday present of 250 pheasants, ducks and partridges to his younger brother Prince Harry. The game birds are intended for a shoot at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate to celebrate the prince’s 27th birthday, in keeping with a centuries-long British cultural tradition of hunting. But tradition or not, PETA is not on board with hunting, even if done by princes. So PETA President Ingrid Newkirk has penned a letter to the Duchess of Cambridge asking her to influence the men in her life: “We understand that Prince William has given a gift of ‘game birds’ to Prince Harry for his birthday. There is no honour in buying birds and reducing them, as if they were clay pigeons, to shooting targets. Those who aren’t killed outright are often dispatched by having their necks wrung, which does not cause an instant or painless death. May I ask you to use your influence on the Princes and ask them to reconsider this gift? You are in a unique position to be able to wield considerable influence over whether people everywhere view animals and their place in our world with kindness or blithely ignore their suffering. Please ask the Princes to open their hearts to the suffering of birds casually used as skeet and make the compassionate decision not to kill for fun. By canceling the planned ‘day’s sport’ in favor of a more enlightened, fitting and humane pursuit, they will win hearts and commendations and spare hundreds of birds a terrifying end, making it clear that the monarchy is in tune with the social movement against cruelty to animals.” Although we don’t disagree that killing birds for fun isn’t the best way to spend a birthday, it seems strange that PETA decided to drag Kate into all this… why not just shoot (no pun intended) Prince Will an email? Or better yet, contact his father, Prince Charles. In 2008, upon suggestions from PETA, Charles stopped buy foie gras and urged his royal chefs to do the same. Alas the Duchess of Cambridge has not commented in response to PETA’s requests. Learn more about PETA’s royal complaints on E!.
