How is this for layers of irony? Rep. Trent Franks appeared on the G. Gordon Liddy Show complaining about the executive branch not following laws. G. Gordon Liddy. My head is about to explode. I’ve said before that Trent Franks will never be confused as one of the great thinkers in Congress, but this doesn’t smack of stupidity so much as opportunism . (I)n the right’s furor over the administration’s announcement that it will not defend the constitutionality of Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) is calling for Obama to be impeached. After the Arizona Republican advocated defunding the Department of Justice if it does not defend Section 3 of DOMA – “I would support that in a moment,” remarked Franks – he went on to say that he would “absolutely” favor impeaching President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder if such a move “could gain collective support” Franks is just falling behind Presidential wannabe Newt Gingrich and Rep. Steve King (who is calling for Holder’s resignation). Remember when the left decided to play nice when they got the majority in Congress and take impeachment off the table ? Did anyone seriously think the Republican Party would be as mature? See what happens when we have to deal with children?

Sadly, this was said to a bunch of impressionable students at the College of New Jersey (video follows with transcript and commentary): STUDENT QUESTIONER AMANDA REDDINGTON: Over like a hundred countries recognize global warming and the negative effect people have on the environment. Do you, what’s your opinion on like America’s slow acceptance of this reality? RALPH NADER: It’s partly because there’s been a well-organized counter-scientific movement, pseudo-scientific attack. Clinton never pushed it, and Bush opposed it withdrew from it, right? Obama’s not pushing it. So, most of the environmental groups when they hear every day Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, you know, this huge ignorance movement going on. Who’s to counteract Limbaugh, right? You don’t get on if you offend corporate advertising. REDDINGTON: Okay, thank you. NADER: But they’ll learn as soon as things start melting. REDDINGTON: Yeah. NADER: The beaches and all that. They’ll learn. Look at Alaska. REDDINGTON: Yeah. Amazing. Al Gore and his green disciples have spent billions of dollars in recent years trying to convince the American people that this myth is real. They have as their minions virtually every media outlet in the nation with the exception of Fox News, conservative talk show hosts, right-wing bloggers, and a handful of publications. Yet, the reason the citizenry aren't buying into the fable hook, line and sinker is because of people like Limbaugh and Hannity. It really boggles the mind how people like this can be at all taken seriously. (H/T The Blaze )

It will be available for download from the PlayStation Network this spring, although you can also try your luck with Sony’s early-product seeding program if you’d like to get it sooner — no PS3 SDK or licensing agreement is required. In other PlayStation news, Sony’s also confirmed that it’s now working on version 1.5 of PlayStation Home , which promises to add real-time multiplayer gaming functionality to the virtual world, along with improved physics and refined graphics. Details on it are otherwise still fairly light, but it’s also slated for a public release sometime this spring. Head on past the break for the official word on both announcements from Sony.
