Looks like “Two and a Half Men” may be whole again soon. Without determining who represents what fraction, NBC’s Jeff Rossen is reporting that, according to a source close to Sheen, two weeks after Sheen was fired from the show, the $2 million an episode man may get his job back on the biggest sitcom on television. “Sources close to Charlie Sheen tell NBC News, CBS has offered him his job back. Discussions ongoing. Not a done deal,” Rossen said via Twitter. Of any reporter, Rossen would know; Sheen has praised the reporter who interviewed him for his multi-part NBC special report (part one and part two). Hollywoodlife.com also reports that discussions are ongoing. A show insider told the site, “The rumors are true — CBS wants Charlie back. They saw how popular his tour has become, how it has been selling out, and when word spread that he started talking to Fox about a late-night show, some decision-makers got a little antsy.” There’s an 80% chance that Sheen returns, the source told the site. If this is all true, it’s a huge turnaround for the network and Sheen, who have been at war over the last month. Sheen ripped series creator Chuck Lorre in a series of radio and television interviews, and sued for $100 million following his firing and the show’s decision to shut down for the rest of the season. Since the firing, Sheen has found new sources of income: he’s working to make $1 million a year in Twitter endorsements, and he’s embarking on a North American live tour, for which he’ll earn $7 million.

It was a less than good morning for Chris Brown. The R&B star joined “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts for an interview on Tuesday morning, as part of a promotion of his brand new album, F.A.M.E.. The interview didn’t go so well, and TMZ reports that, after a brief performance, Brown went into a rage off stage, shattering a window, perhaps with a chair, and leaving ABC’s studio without his shirt, all without completing a second scheduled performance. During the interview, Roberts jumped right into a number of questions about Brown’s 2009 arrest for the savage beating of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. She mentioned that the restraining order that resulted from the incident had recently been relaxed, to which Brown responded: “I mean, it’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation, and I think today’s the album day, that’s what I’m focused on.” When asked what the acronym in the album name stands for, Brown said, “Forgiving all my enemies, and definitely, fans are my everything. That meaning, being able to go through everything I went through and show my fans that I love them.” That opened another opportunity for Roberts to try to bring the beating up, which Brown again preempted by very pointedly emphasizing his album. As the interview ended, Brown emphasized that he couldn’t care less what others thought. For her part, Roberts insists that Brown pre-approved the questions before the interview, TMZ also reports. Later, ABC News released a statement saying, “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that’s what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown.” For more on the outburst, click over to TMZ. The keyword here is obviously “considers,” but it looks like Japan’s space agency, JAXA , is indeed seriously thinking about using artificial intelligence to improve their rocket launches. As JAXA scientist Yasuhiro Morita explains, as opposed to simply being “automatic” as rockets are today, an “artificially intelligent” rocket would be able to keep watch on its condition, determine the cause of any malfunction, and potentially even fix it itself. According to JAXA, that would not only make rocket launches more efficient, but more cost-effective as well given the reduced manpower needs. That’s not the only new measure being explored to cut costs, though — as Space.com reports, JAXA’s new Epsilon launch vehicle is also being built using fewer, but more advanced components, which promises to let it be moved to the launch pad nearly fully assembled. It’s currently set to launch sometime in 2013, although it’s not yet clear how much it will actually be relying on AI if such a system is put in place.
