A young boy found dead on a remote Maine road has reportedly been identified as Camden Pierce Hughes, a 6-year-old from Texas. Juli Mccrery, the child’s mother, confessed to Massachusetts State Police that she administered an overdose of medication that killed her son, WBZ-TV reports. Calls to the Massachusetts State Police were not immediately returned. After the boy’s body was discovered along a rural road in South Berwick, investigators released a computer-generated image of the child and were swamped with hundreds of tips about the boy’s possible identity. Authorities focused their attention on witnesses who said they saw a woman driving a blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck near the location where the child was discovered. According to the station, a Massachusetts state trooper who was aware of the lead pulled over a vehicle that matched the description at an I-495 rest stop in Chelmsford, Mass., on Wednesday morning. The motorist, identified as the victim’s mother, reportedly made statements about the boy’s death and was taken into protective custody. Mccrery’s ex-boyfriend, Robert Miller, who called himself as “the only dad [Hughes] ever knew,” described the child as “a very nice boy … an innocent boy” who was in the “gifted and talented class in kindergarten.” “All I know is that he’s dead and she’s in jail,” Miller told WBZ-TV. “I don’t know why she was even up there.” WATCH:

We knew Intel and Apple had a close working relationship when it came to developing Thunderbolt , but now an exec from Santa Clara has taken the declarations of mutual admiration to the next level. Tom Kilroy, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Sales and Marketing Group, told a Reuters tech summit that Apple isn’t merely important to his company’s plans, it actually “helps shape [Intel's] roadmap.” Those are strong words coming from the world’s biggest maker of processor chips, one that you wouldn’t expect to be beholden to any hardware or software partner. Additionally, it marks the second time this week that Intel has indirectly slighted Microsoft , the first one being a damning analysis of Windows 8 on ARM by fellow Intel SVP Renee James. It’d be easy to conclude that we’re seeing cracks developing in the old Wintel bond, but we reckon it’s more likely that Chipzilla is simply finding the wrong words to express otherwise benign thoughts. Huhne, who faces allegations that he tried to evade speeding points, backed by fellow Lib Dem minister Vince Cable has warned that it would be a loss to the coalition if fellow Liberal Democrat Chris Huhne was forced to quit the cabinet as a result of allegations that he tried to evade punishment for speeding. Huhne, the energy secretary and MP for Eastleigh, has contacted police to offer assistance with their investigation into whether he passed points incurred for speeding on the M11 south of Stansted airport on to another witness, thought to be his now estranged wife, Vicky Pryce. A spokeswoman for Huhne said he contacted Essex police regarding the incident which is supposed to have occurred in 2003 when he was an MEP. Cable, the business secretary gave his backing to his fellow Lib Dem minister, whom he described as a “very effective colleague”. He told the BBC Radio 4′s Today programme: “It would be a loss if he went. But he is not talking about going. He’s a good effective colleague. I’ve been working very intensely with him over the last few weeks on delivering the green agenda – we’ve come to a good outcome.” Essex police have yet to take a decision on whether to open a formal criminal inquiry into the allegations. Detective Superintendent Tim Wills said on Wednesday that his team would be speaking to “key individuals”. Detectives are expected to interview both Huhne and Pryce. Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Independence party and an MEP for the past 12 years, was interviewed by police on Wednesday evening. He told officers he took a flight from Strasbourg to Stansted on 12 March 2003, the night the speeding offence is said to have occurred. A spokesman for Farage said the MEP was asked about how frequently the evening flight, believed to be Ryanair flight 7775, was used by British MEPs travelling back from Strasbourg. Earlier this week, Huhne said the allegations levelled against him wereincorrect and welcomed the police investigation triggered by a formal complaint lodged by the Labour MP Simon Danczuk. Huhne was said to have been facing a driving ban if he clocked up more points for speeding. That would have made it difficult for him to get around at a time when he was hoping to become an MP. Woods, whose last win came 18 months ago at the Australian Masters, will drop to at least No. 11 in the next world ranking published Monday. It will be the first time he is out of the top 10 since he was No. 13 on April 6, 1997, the week before he won the Masters for the first of his 14 majors. Forbes, meanwhile, says he’s still the No. 1 celebrity in the sports world. Woods checks in at No. 6 on Forbes’ annual “Celebrity 100″ list of the most powerful people or groups in the entertainment business. Lady Gaga tops the overall rankings, followed by Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber, U2 and Elton John. Miami Heat star LeBron James is the second-ranked athlete behind Woods at No. 10. Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is No. 14. Forbes estimated Woods’ total earnings last year to be $75 million, making him the highest-paid athlete. Jon Stewart told Bill O’Reilly that he would consider voting for a Republican, and that President Obama has not lived up to his expectations. In the second part of their chat (the first, which focused on rapper Common’s appearance at the White House, aired on Monday), O’Reilly and Stewart discussed the 2012 presidential race. O’Reilly told Stewart half-jokingly that Obama “let you down sometimes when he didn’t do a far-left thing you wanted.” “How far left am I?” Stewart asked. “It depends on the night,” O’Reilly responded.
