Jon Stewart Blasts Trump In Apoplectic Rant About New York City Pizza (VIDEO)

As you probably already know, the most important meeting of modern political minds happened this week in New York City when fake presidential candidate Donald Trump met up with semi-fake presidential candidate Sarah Palin to discuss whatever it is that wealthy pseudo-celebrities discuss when they’re not out creating pseudo-events other than the one they’re creating by meeting up in the first place. And Trump really rolled out the red carpet for Palin, taking her and her family out for a slice of pizza at Famous Famiglia’s in Times Square, whose fare has recently been described as “a slice that tastes like a manila folder with Ragu slathered all over it.” Well, on Wednesday night’s “Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart had something to say about Trump’s taste in New York style pizza. A lot of something to say about it, actually. Beginning with: STEWART: I’ve eaten there, that pizza is fine. I used to eat there a lot when I was working next door at Caroline’s Comedy Club. It’s good convenience pizza. Back in the 80s there weren’t a lot of food options in Times Square. It was Famiglia’s pizza or edible underwear from one of the porn shops. Then Giuliani took that option away. You know, Donald, I don’t want to say anything, but if you’re taking an esteemed visitor to get real New York pizza, Famiglia’s ain’t it. With Stewart’s audience loudly concurring, Stewart went on an extended rant in which he joked that Famiglia’s could also be found at “terminal four of the Phoenix airport,” offered up several more authentic pizza options, critcized Trump’s slice stacking, finally reaching a height of apoplexy at the sight of Trump going at his pie with a fork, as if he were from outer space or something. Then Stewart moved on to a proper demonstration of both New York-style pizza-eating technique and New York City-style profanity, before concluding: “Based on how you eat pizza, Donald, I want to see your long form birth certificate. I don’t think you were really born in New York.” One thing that Stewart didn’t touch on was why Trump, who is ostensibly a rich and well-connected man, would drag Palin to Time Square to eat at a chain restaurant. Well, as Village Voice music editor Maura Johnston recalled on Wednesday, “Just FYI, Palin and Trump’s visit to Famous Famiglia was also a little bit of synergy with The Celebrity Apprentice.” Indeed, various Celebrity Apprentice “stars” were dispatched to Famiglia’s 8th and Broadway location back in October, to promote the show. So what drew Trump and Palin to Famiglia’s? The sucking vortex of reality-goddamned-television. What did you expect? Oprah’s Vacation Message

It was only natural that Oprah would take a vacation after the end of her legendary talk show. On Wednesday, she sent her Facebook friends a message about what she was doing. In the message, Oprah thanked her fans “for the kindest words I’ve ever heard” following the end of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” And she disclosed that she had found a new love: white truffle pizza. “Now finally away on vaca,” she wrote. “Relaxing. Trying not to eat too much. But had 2 slices of the best pizza ever in life today. WHITE TRUFFLE! Had to stop myself. Could have eaten the whole thin sliced, home made thing.” She also sneaked in a book recommendation. “Catching up on reading:UNBROKEN. By Laura Hillenbrand,” she wrote. “I know so many of you have read already. It’s as good as everybody says. 72 pgs. in, can’t put it down.” The message concluded, “My new ambition is to make a treasure of the small moments. All of your emails are mini treasures. As was that White Truffle pizza. :-) Oprah.”

Shia LeBeouf: Megan Fox ‘Couldn’t Handle,’ Michael Bay’s Sexy ‘Transformers’ Demands

As rumors, accusations and all around bad blood flew following the critical failure (though commercial mega-success) of “Transformers 2,” one thing was made clear: star Megan Fox would not be back. The why, though, was very unclear. For her part, Fox said that she quit. Which didn’t quite jibe with the sentiment of the film’s angry letter-writing crew, or director Michael Bay. And while what went down has remained an untold secret up through now, the film’s star, Shia LeBeouf, always one to speak frankly — he himself ripped the second movie — has finally shined a light on the situation. “Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,” LaBeouf told the Los Angeles Times. “Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for [LaBeouf assumes a gentle voice] ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’” It’s a bit of a strange reason, given Fox’s propensity for risque modeling, but so it goes. Of course, Bay being a man of plentiful resources, went out and got just that type of actress, hiring Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to play LeBeouf’s new love interest. As for Fox’s take? Back in 2009, she ripped on Bay’s directorial style, words that led to the angry letter from the “Transformers” crew. “He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is,” Fox said. “So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.” Now, Fox will be watching from a theater seat. For more on the movie, click over to the Los Angeles Times. WATCH:

Vogue Italia Puts Three Plus-Size Models On June Cover (PHOTOS)

Always ready to up the body image ante, Vogue Italia’s June issue celebrates curvy models, with a trio of plus-sized beauties posing for the cover. Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley lean over plates of spaghetti in their lingerie, and inside, Marquita Pring is added to the mix for Steven Meisel’s lens. The glossy’s editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani recently told Women’s Wear Daily, “We help [plus-size women] dress fashionably. We say: It’s pointless for you to buy leggings, take this because this will look good on you. We help them choose. We don’t talk about diets because they don’t want to be on a diet, but it’s not a ghetto. Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine.” In March, Sozzani launched a petition against pro-anorexia websites. You can read more about that here. Check out several photographs below. And head over to Vogue.it to see the rest (warning: NSFW at the link).

YouTube embraces Creative Commons licensing, turns your cutesy kitty into mashup fodder

Sourcing material from the mecca of viral video has always been a bit iffy — who knows which rabid Beyonce fan will bite back when you slice and dice their Single Ladies tribute video . However, YouTube’s recent addition of the Creative Commons licensing option just made it a whole lot easier to make mashups without stepping on anyone’s stiletto-sporting toes. Users are now given the option to choose between YouTube’s standard license or the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which, when selected, automatically adds the video to a library of similarly appointed videos, now available for your cutting and captioning pleasure. An attribution is placed beneath any video sourcing material from the Creative Commons library. Among the more professional outfits adding their videos to the CC pool are Al Jazeera and C-SPAN — who’s ready to see Mittens the Kitten and Sarah Palin battle it out over tax cuts? You can now access the Creative Commons library through the YouTube video editor . Bozell Column: Exposing the Hollywood ‘Clique’

Born blocks from the NBC soundstage in 1984 to parents in the entertainment industry, Ben Shapiro is a natural choice to write a book about Hollywood. For his new book “Primetime Propaganda,” Shapiro has studied decades of television content and interviewed a bevy of powerful Hollywood producers to document the degree to which they have created a political and cultural revolution of permissive leftism. The project gets off to a harsh start. In his introduction, Shapiro attacks “traditional” TV critics on the cultural right for being “worse than useless,” suggesting some unnamed conservatives are insisting TV should not be watched. “When conservatives treat television as the Golden Calf, they leave no choice but to lay low the unbelievers — and most of us continue to continue occasionally glancing at the offending cow.” Let's stipulate that perhaps Shapiro is trying to sell the usefulness of his own book by insisting it will succeed where other conservative critiques have failed. Because once you get past the straw-man introduction, there's a lot of eye-opening detail that begs to be discussed. Hollywood's made endless movies about cruel, life-destroying blacklisters of communist sympathizers, which is rich irony given their ongoing efforts to blacklist conservatives from their own industry. Shapiro calls this chapter “The Clique.” Actor Dwight Schultz (“The A-Team”) was overheard by producer Bruce Paltrow praising President Reagan in the 1980s at a theatre festival, and Paltrow called him a “Reagan [A-word].” Months later, when Schultz came to audition for the role of Dr. Fiscus on the NBC show “St. Elsewhere,” Paltrow asked why he had shown up: “There's not going to be a Reagan [A-word] on this show!” Schultz, an accomplished voice-over actor in cartoons, found this viewpoint even in the animation genre. He received a casting call for the cartoon movie “Astro Boy” that described the character of “President Stone” as a “cross between a refined, somewhat more controlled version of General Buck Turgison (George C. Scott) from Dr. Strangelove and Dick Cheney.” “You get this in the mail,” Schultz insisted about his cartoon work. “This is very typical, very mild…'He's an [A-word], like George Bush.’” Schultz doesn't describe his experience as a blacklist, but as a mindset. “It's a social network…But the social aspect of the business is, to a large degree, everything these is.” Leonard Goldberg, executive producer of
