ADDIS ABABA (AFP) – Talks on Sudan dragged into a third day Tuesday as delegations from the rival north and south thrashed out sticking points after a reported agreement that northern troops would leave disputed Abyei. Sudan President Omar al-Bashir left Addis Ababa Monday night but members of his delegation stayed behind to iron out remaining points of contention, officials said. Being Blake Griffin has its perks — he’s NBA Rookie of the Year and a millionaire, plus he’s got the adoration of millions and the ability to posterize fools with prodigious power dunks. He also got the Vizio tablet before it goes on sale to the general public, and posted a video showing off his new VIA Plus -equipped slate. We’re glad that Blake Superior’s enjoying the tablet’s portrait and landscape stereo speakers and its universal remote function… really, we are. But, we’d rather be watching him catch alley-oops and throw down windmills on a tablet of our very own — c’mon Vizio, quit playing favorites. The Nook WiFi may have been rooted to play Angry Birds , but Kobu’s competing eReader Touch Edition can apparently show off its gaming capabilities with factory settings. It turns out that aside from the Nook-like embedded web browser we uncovered in our review , the e-reader also comes pre-loaded with Sudoku — perfect for some pattern deducing fun between reads. YouTube user codystheory has posted a video showing the quick sequence of taps needed to access the game, and we can definitely say it looks much easier than installing a custom ROM . Fifteen fire engines tackle large blaze at building undergoing refurbishment in Aldwych area More than 75 firefighters are tackling a large blaze at a building in London’s West End. A spokeswoman for the London fire brigade said the roof of a 10-storey building housing a hotel and flats being refurbished on the Strand was on fire. Because the building was being refurbished it is believed to be unoccupied, she added. Pictures posted on Twitter showed thick black smoke rising above the West End skyline. The fire service was alerted just after 11am on Tuesday, and 15 fire engines are tackling the blaze. It said the cause of the fire was not known at this stage. London Haroon Siddique guardian.co.uk
