Microsoft just earned itself a boatload of geek-cred and made Apple and Sony look pretty bad in the process. We knew the Windows Phone team was playing nice with the jailbreakers from ChevronWP7, but we didn’t realize just how cozy the two were going to get. Today the devs announced that ChevronWP7 Labs would open up soon, with the approval of Redmond, allowing users to load homebrew apps on their handsets. Unlike tools from the iPhone Dev Team , this service won’t be free. Instead, customers will have to cough up a small fee via PayPal — but we’re sure many of you are more than willing to pay a reasonable price to avoid the sort of cat and mouse game Apple has been playing with hackers since 2007. Dexter Isaac, a longtime associate of James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, released a statement to AllHipHop.com confessing to being involved in the robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur. “I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],” Isaac said from prison. “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure.” Rosemond is a hip hop mogul and CEO of Czar Entertainment who manages The Game and Sean Kingston, among many others. In May, he turned himself in on drug charges, and named Isaac in a lengthy statement defending himself and professing his innocence. The shooting took place two years before Tupac was fatally shot on September 7th, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada, by two unnamed assailants. An excerpt from Rosemond’s statement, which can be read in full here: “In 1994, James Rosemond hired me to rob 2Pac Shakur at the Quad Studio. He gave me $2,500, plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring, which he wanted for himself. It was the biggest of the two diamond rings that we took. He said he wanted to put the stone in a new setting for his girlfriend at the time, Synthia Ried. I still have as proof the chain that we took that night in the robbery.”

It seems these days Bill Maher puts his foot in his mouth virtually every time he's in front of a camera. On Friday's “Real Time,” the holier than thou host actually said liberals never talk about nationalizing the oil industry minutes before calling former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) a couple of “crazy” “know nothings” “who both get their historical facts wrong all the time” (video follows with transcript and commentary): BILL MAHER: My larger point was that it seems like if there was an equivalent of privatizing FEMA on the left, it would be something like nationalizing the oil industry which you never hear. Really? I guess Maher missed a serious discussion on this very issue back in 2008 that began when Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) told Shell Oil president John Hofmeister during a May 23 House hearing that she wanted the government to take over the entire oil industry. The following month, a number of Democrats led by Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-N.Y.) actually proposed nationalizing oil refineries. At the same time, a Rasmussen poll found a plurality of Democrats supported nationalizing the oil industry – 37 percent for, 32 percent opposed. But according to Maher, “you never hear” people on the left talk about this. As usual, the joke was on him for later in this very program, he called Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann a couple of “crazy” “know-nothings” “who both get their historical facts wrong all the time.” Who's ditzy now, Bill?
