In one of the British forces’ wackier schemes to rid the world of Adolph Hitler’s violence, secret agents plotted to slip estrogen in the fuhrer’s food in a bid to tame his aggression, according to a new book. The estrogen would be tasteless and the transformation gradual as Hitler changed…

Today, little Prince Christian, the six-year-old son of Princess Mary and Prince Frederik, donned his preppy best for his first day of school. Accompanied by his equally chic parents, Christian started kindergarten at the Tranegard School in Copenhagen, making him the first in the family to attend a state school. His father, uncle and two cousins all attended private school. Because Christian is not only adorable but also second in line for the Danish throne, there was bound to be some media attention on the youngster’s big day. But the little prince was unfazed by the scrutiny, posing for pictures and proudly telling reporters how he packed his own school bag all by himself. Check out pics of the adorable tyke and his beaming parents below.

Brad Pitt cast his eldest son in the lead role of his Production company, Plan B’s latest project, “Battling Boy.” The graphic novel turned silver screen flick will showcase a courageous, villain-battling Maddox who is blessed with special powers as the son of a god. For some reason, the role doesn’t seem too far removed from Maddox’s own reality — he is the son of Hollywood demigod, Brad Pitt and often finds himself fighting off the intrusive eye of the paparazzi. Now the 10-year-old can put his born and bred duck and cover skills to good use as the kid monster slayer. “Battling Boys” is slated to hit theaters in 2013.

And yes, we’ll be watching today at noon when you make the big reveal. But you couldn’t wait for then, could you? The company offered up a German language tweet earlier today that seemed to shed some light on the mystery of who exactly is behind the soon to be announced tablet, teasing, “Introducing the Grid 10.” Sound familiar? That’s the name affixed to the Fusion Garage tablet we recently saw pass through the FCC — you know, the JooJoo 2? Of course, the company has distanced itself from that product name for obvious reasons . It remains to be seen, of course, whether TabCo has abandoned all mention of the Fusion Garage name as well, like so many CrunchPad prototypes. [Thanks, Adriano] Is TabCo releasing the JooJoo 2? originally appeared on Engadget on Mon, 15 Aug 2011 10:48:00 EDT. Please see our terms for use of feeds . Permalink

Bush's approval rating didn't fall to 39% until his second term in office in fall 2005. Do you think Obama's approval could fall even lower in the coming months? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Earlier this month, a Rasmussen poll found that 34.8% of adults consider themselves to be Democrats, so the 39% approval rating could represent Obama's base support group and not fall much lower. However, the low approval rating does prove troubling for Obama's campaign. As David Paul Kuhn explains at RealClearPolitics , That’s what Obama’s 39 percent signifies. Republicans may not have to win it. Obama is on track to lose it. No one number predicts presidential prospects. But if you must pick one, pick the presidential approval rating. There is a range where the floor gives out. There have been 10 incumbent campaigns since the close of the Second World War. Only W won with an approval below 50 percent. Yet Gerald Ford lost in the same range. There's no magic number. But Obama must likely be in, at least, the high 40s to win term two. Does that mean he’s Grover Cleveland or Carter? It’s worth recalling how bad it got for Carter. His rating bobbed in the low 30s and high 20s in 1979. And Carter still made a race of it. Obama will too. The opponent will matter. Perhaps 39 percent matters most there. It affirms that the right candidate can beat him. Does that fertilize pragmatism? Maybe. Do you think campaign season will bring new vigor to Obama's numbers? Or do you think his numbers will continue falling?
