Click here to view this media There’s not much to say for this except Christine O’Donnell doesn’t want to share her views on gay marriage. Apparently she wants to be taken seriously as a deep thinker on fiscal and constitutional matters. The more Morgan pressed the more indignant she seemed to get. Finally she had enough. PIERS MORGAN: “Why are you being so weird about this?” CHRISTINE O’DONNELL: “I’m not being weird about this Piers. I’m not running for office, I’m not promoting a legislative agenda. I’m promoting the policies that I lay out in the book that are mostly fiscal that are mostly constitutional. That’s why I agreed to come on your show. That’s what I want to talk about. I’m not being weird you’re being a little rude.” PIERS MORGAN: “I think I’m rather being charming and respectful.” And with that she walked off. O’Donnell was promoting her new book “Troublemaker” , allegedly a political memoir which details her absurd senate run last year, among other things. The e-version though describes it as a work of fiction , which seems appropriate for her entire career.

Ed Schultz apologized on Tuesday for playing a clip of Texas Gov. Rick Perry out of context. On Monday, Schultz played footage of Perry seeming to refer to President Obama as a “big black cloud” over America. Schultz said this was evidence of latent racism in the Republican field. In fact, Perry was talking about the debt, not Obama. On Tuesday, Schultz acknowledged his mistake–but stressed that he thinks there is ample evidence to bolster his claim that Perry is trying to smear Obama. “Last night we played a clip of Governor Perry talking about the debt being a ‘big black cloud’ over this country,” he said. “We did not present the full context of those statements and we should’ve…no doubt about it, it was a mistake and we regret the error. On this particular statement, we should not have included it in our coverage of his overheated rhetoric. That’s our mistake. A second child has died this month from a fresh-water amoeba infection. Nine-year-old Christian Alexander Strictland likely caught the parasite at a fishing camp in Virginia. He died on August 5th.

We’ve all tripped on power cords, sending laptops or other precious items tumbling to the ground. With the introduction of the MagSafe connector, back in 2006, Apple fixed the problem for clumsy MacBook owners, but has since left plugged-in iPad users up a creek. Cupertino was awarded a patent yesterday to integrate the magnetic (trip-safe) cord into future iOS devices like the iPad, potentially solving the dilemma for good. The Haus of Jobs also snagged patents for magnetic assembly and a “securing system,” whatever that means. Well, it’s taken long enough, but Google has finally updated its Reader app for Android and added support for Honeycomb. That’s right RSS addicts, you can now peruse your feeds in full two-pane glory on your Xoom, Galaxy Tab 10.1 or other comparable slate . The move to version 1.0.1 doesn’t just benefit tablet owners either — the small screen UI has received a fresh coat of paint that’s a tad more polished. As far as new features, there doesn’t seem to be anything Earth-shattering, but the ability to quickly share posts via social networks or add them to your Read It Later list on a tablet is greatly appreciated.
