Remember the above video segment? Scarborough: “Is Bush An ‘Idiot’?” It brought back memories of Paul O’Neil’s feeling about the Bush Tax Cuts: Paul O’Neill on the Bush tax cut: ‘I would not have done it’ A new WSJ/NBC poll was just released and to my surprise six out of ten people still blame Bush for the hole this country is in. A third reason is that the American public isn’t blaming Obama for the current economy, with more than six in 10 respondents still saying he inherited the country’s economic problems from his Oval Office predecessor. Also, while a combined 47 percent believe George W. Bush and his administration are “solely responsible” or “mainly responsible” for the current economy, just 34 percent in the poll say the same of Obama and his administration. But that doesn’t mean the public is satisfied with the president’s economic performance. Just 41 percent approve of his handling of the economy, versus 50 percent who approve of his handling of foreign policy and 54 percent who approve of his handling of the war in Afghanistan. I have been very critical of the way the Obama administration has discussed the economic problems brought upon us by Conservative ideology and power so it’s nice to see that many Americans haven’t forgotten the Bush years, no matter how long he stays tucked away in the basement. Obama is still very vulnerable on this issue big time if things don’t improve and since the stimulus was not as progressive as it should have been, many Americans don’t believe they’ve seen tangible results from it. And only 34 percent think the economic stimulus that Obama signed into law in 2009 has helped improve the economy or will improve it in the future. High unemployment does that to people.

Battlefield 3 won’t look as good on PS3, DICE says ‘duh’

Can’t see the video? Click here Last night, PS3 footage of Battlefield 3 was shown off on Jimmy Fallon’s televisual broadcast, and Butthurt Levels were reported at maximum capacity. Apparently, the visuals of a game on a $300 console don’t look as good as visuals running on a $2000 computer. DICE’s response? Who seriously expected them to? “Why would anyone expect that console would look the same as… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Destructoid Discovery Date : 17/06/2011 10:55 Number of articles : 6

Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ Video Removed From YouTube

Rebecca Black’s “Friday” music video, which racked up over 160 million views on YouTube, has been removed. The page to Black’s official video included a notice that the video is “no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black,” with a “Sorry about that” from YouTube. A YouTube spokesperson offered TechCrunch the following statement on the matter: YouTube takes copyright infringement very seriously. When we receive a complaint alleging that a video infringes another person or company’s copyrights, we remove that video. Users who believe that a video was removed in error can appeal the copyright takedown. “Friday” was recently put behind a paywall and users were asked to pay $2.99 to access the video via YouTube Rentals. Access to the video–without the paywall–was restored, though it appears that the video has since been removed. LOOK:

Strawberry Tree brings free, solar-powered charging to Belgrade’s BlackBerrys, more (video)

Dead battery in Belgrade? Head to the city’s Obrenovac district, where a group of students has developed the world’s first public charging station powered entirely by solar energy . Known as the Strawberry Tree, the structure’s 16 ports support a variety of handhelds, allowing pedestrians to juice up their cell phones in just ten to 15 minutes, at no charge. Its built-in batteries can also store up to a month’s worth of back-up energy, enabling the station to hum along at night, or even during Serbia’s less sunny seasons. In the first 40 days following its November launch, the Strawberry Tree logged some 10,000 charging sessions — or about ten charges per hour. Creator Miloš Milisavljevic was just 17 years old when he came up with the idea, and now, at the ripe old age of 22, is looking to plant new stations across other Serbian cities, through his Strawberry Energy NGO. He says these installations won’t generate much revenue from consumers, but that’s not really the idea: “Energy from the sun is free, and it would be unethical to charge people to use the Strawberry Tree…We are trying to inspire young people to think about the source of the energy they use, and behave and act responsibly.” You can check out the Strawberry Tree in the video below, or find out more about Milisavljevic’s ideal-driven endeavors in the full PR. HP ships $50 WiFi Mobile Mouse, gives your Bluetooth radio a break

If you’ve been waiting oh-so-patiently for HP’s $49.99 WiFi Mobile Mouse to ship, take heart — the aforesaid critter is now ready to free up one more valuable USB port at your workstation . As mentioned before, this ain’t your mum’s wireless mouse, as it makes use of WiFi technology (you know, instead of the tried-and-true Bluetooth) similar to that found in Logitech’s Unifying Receiver . In other words, this bad boy doesn’t require anything other than itself to connect. HP promises up to nine months of battery life, offers five programmable buttons, a four-way tilt scroll wheel and adjustable sensitivity. Just think — you can finally choose to keep those remaining Four Loko cans chilled without resorting to an inbuilt trackpad. Reason enough to pull the trigger, yeah? Cloud Engines recalls potentially flammable Pogoplug Video

Looks like sharing videos over the cloud may be a risky task — if you’re using the box shown here on the left, that is. The Pogoplug Video hit the retail scene about two months ago , but Cloud Engines has already issued a recall after two devices nearly went up in flames. According to The Official Pogoplug Blog, the internal chip that handles video encoding can experience ” thermal runaways ” after long periods of use, which could cause the device to reach unsafe temperatures; this despite having a fan to keep things cool. The affected serial numbers include Pogo P-11 through 14, and the company asks that owners get in contact to setup a return and refund. In the meantime, it also suggests that the units be unplugged — a good idea if you want to avoid possibly burning the house down .
