It offers a 40mph top speed and a 75 mile range plus a construction featuring pieces hewn on CNC along with plenty of titanium and carbon fiber bits for good measure. The design is perhaps a bit too in your face for some, but for others is the perfect mix of ‘tude and tech. It’s been in design for some months now but recently made something of a debut at SEMA ahead of a forthcoming shipping date with pre-orders open now. Cost? If you have to ask… Gallery: M55 Beast M55 Beast Electric Bike is quite appropriately named originally appeared on Engadget on Sun, 21 Nov 2010 09:08:00 EDT. Please see our terms for use of feeds . Continue reading …Do you realize that this movie is nearly 30 years old? JOSHUA, the antiquated computer of the movie War Games , who needed room-sized servers to run, figured out that the only way to win a war is not to play. And yet, here we are, ten years into the occupation in Afghanistan and we still have bobbleheads trying to tell us how we’re going to “win” the war. In fact, this Sunday is chock-full of Adm. Mike Mullen and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; the pair making five appearances between them. Also of interest, head of TSA will be on State of the Union to justify the porno scanners and heavy petting pat-down after a truly bipartisan pushback against such draconian measures. But if endless quagmires and losing your liberty for the sake of a flight to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving aren’t your thing, you can always watch the grasping-for-tea-party approval Governors Bobby Jindal on Meet the Press or Rick Perry on Fox News Sunday . Maybe in another 30 years we can hope they’ll figure out what JOSHUA sussed out so quickly 30 years ago. ABC’s “This Week” – Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. CBS’ “Face the Nation” – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton; Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md. NBC’s “Meet the Press” – Clinton; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La. NBC’s “The Chris Matthews Show” – Panel: Katty Kay, Dan Rather, Rick Stengel, Kelly O’Donnell. Topics: Will Republicans Restrict Any Compromise with President Obama? Americans on Marriage: Who Needs It? CNN’s “State of the Union” – Mullen; John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration; Rep. John Mica, R-Fla. CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” – The deficit. Fareed says it’s the most important issue facing Americans today. But will American politicians listen to the recommendations of the U.S. Fiscal Reform Commission? Maybe. Fareed’s Take on how to fix the deficit. Then, a fascinating and exclusive look at the inner workings of the Iranian Regime. “Fox News Sunday” – Clinton; Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas. So what’s catching your eye this morning?

One of the striking things about Paris is that, for a major city whose metropolitan area includes nearly 12 million people, there are very few buildings more than five or six stories tall. Since 1977, soon after the construction of the 689 foot tall Tour Montparnasse, a building that sticks out like a sore thumb and is widely disliked by Parisians, there has been a height limit of 121 feet on all new buildings. (The Eiffel Tower, at 1,063 feet, is by far the tallest structure … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Even more so when sensible boy band yelper Jesse McCartney, um, flips out his Motorola Flipout Android phone to surreptitiously film some hard working dancer’s backside. Is that how a celebrity should act? We think not! Video after the break (if you really want to, that is).
