Just saw this article and had to comment. I noticed that the app can only program your DirecTV DVR, remotely control it, and you can use it as a TV guide. Well I actually have had the ability to do this for a long time using the DISH Remote Access app. I do have an account with DISH Network, and I am also employed by DISH. Using my 722k with the Sling Adapter, I can stream recorded shows or live TV from my DVR to my iPad wherever I have a 3G or wifi connection. I am a big sports man so I hate missing my football. With my iPad and my DISH Network applications, I never have to worry about that ever again!
