Motorola Electrify coming to US Cellular this month as a rebranded Photon 4G

We shouldn’t be completely shocked by the news, but it’s great to hear regardless. US Cellular announced the upcoming availability of the Motorola Electrify, which is essentially its rebranded version of the Photon 4G — sans WiMAX, of course. The device will be ready for your purchase sometime later this month for $200, which is the same starting cost as Sprint’s variant provided you don’t factor in the initial $100 mail-in rebate. The Electrify is a 1GHz dual-core handset with Android 2.3, a 4.3-inch qHD display, webtop support and 8MP rear / VGA front-facing camera set. We definitely love seeing powerhouses like this make it to the smaller carriers, so if you’re an interested US Cellular fanboy or girl, just be sure that you’re not dying to see what the company will offer when its LTE network launches . We’re live from Microsoft Build 2011!

There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding what’s going down at this week’s Microsoft Build developers conference, and now we’re here, in the land of the cartoon mouse (that’s right — right around the corner from Disneyland), hoping to get to the bottom of all the Windows 8 talk. We’ve already been privy to a number of previews and teases and even caught a quick glimpse of a handful of ARM-equipped Windows 8 development devices. We’ve reported on an upcoming Windows 8 App Store , a WP7-style Start Menu and, most recently, some super speedy boot times . All of these are part of a much bigger puzzle, one that’s already promised to shake up the Windows brand, but we’ve yet to get a full reveal. If you ask us, it’s about time Microsoft let it all hang out, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. So keep it locked here for updates from the Anaheim Convention Center — we promise you won’t regret it. Protip: Use our ” build2011 ” tag for all the Build news this week! Tokyoflash reveals Kisai Night Vision wristwatch, makes telling time fun again

Tokyoflash is on the loose once more , and this time it’s introducing a concept that has been in the works for months on end. The Kisai Night Vision — which was made official moments ago, first appeared on the company’s blog as a mockup in August of 2010 — and as they say, “what a difference a year makes.” As of today, the LED wristwatch is up for grabs, constructed with black stainless steel, sub-surface LEDs, a hexagonal form factor and support for USB recharging. Despite your initial assumptions, it’s actually capable of displaying both time and date, and there’s even a built-in alarm with a “light-up animation.” Fancy! It’s available in black with blue, green or red LEDs, and if you order soon, you’ll be able to snag one for $129 /

GameStop offers iPhone, iPod and iPad trade-ins at US stores, just in time for fall titles

Looking to get some green back for that aging iOS device? GameStop’s looking to oblige. The famed retailer has announced that you’ll be able to trade-in your infrequently used iPhone, iPod or iPad for store credit, starting today. Since these devices usually carry significantly higher value than most of the store’s gently used items — adjusted to merely higher given the outfit’s historically laughable trade-in values — Call of Duty addicts can now rejoice in having yet another source of funding for their fix. Also, this announcement comes just in time for you to get your assets in order for the fall slate of games — specifically, the ones you were planning to a) order online or b) download. Well played, GameStop. If you’re yearning for more info, check out the PR after the break. Mercedes-Benz’s hydrogen-powered F125! concept slips out ahead of Frankfurt

Mercedes-Benz is certainly no stranger to hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles, and it looks like the automaker is now about to show off its latest concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. That’s dubbed the F125! (apparently pronounced F one twenty FIVE ), and it promises a top speed of 137 miles per hour, 0 to 62 in 4.9 seconds, and 100 kilometers on 0.79 kilograms of hydrogen (or 621 miles on a full tank). Apparently, the concept is also intended to demonstrate the design direction for 2025 CL-Class, although there’s no indication as of yet that Mercedes-Benz plans to put a hydrogen-powered CL-Class into production. Hit the links below for a few more shots that have leaked out ahead of the show.
