Today, his association is rolling out a new, national opt-out Internet site, where people will be able to end delivery of paper phone books to their doorsteps. If you don’t want them, they won’t be delivered … for at least a few years. Norton sat down with Treehugger to talk about the launch of yellowpag… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Haunting Footage Reveals How Chimps Mourn Death

Chimpanzees share over 90 percent of their DNA with humans — but the similarities between these two species seems to extend beyond genetics alone. For what is believed to be the very first time, researchers have captured the behavior of a female chimp mourning over her recently deceased 16-month-old child, detailing how non-human primates respond to death. Nissan’s Smyrna Lithium-Ion Battery Plant is on Schedule

Photo: Nissan Capacity: 200,000 Batteries a Year Compared to getting the batteries right, getting the rest of an electric car right is relatively easy. After all, most of the rest of the vehicle is pretty similar to what automakers are already doing, and an electric vehicle is mechanically much simpler than a gasoline or diesel vehicle (the power electronics and software is more complex, but most of the rest is simpler). That’s why it’s so important to get the batteries right, and Nissan’s approach is that “when you want something done right, you better do it yourself.” That’s why th… Read the full story on TreeHugger

On the Street….Outerwear Sleeve Length, New York, Florence

Not only do I think we wear our outerwear too big but I also think we wear the sleeve length too long. As you see these two very elegant gentlemen wear a shorter sleeve length with a healthy amount of shirt cuff showing. Notice they are also wearing this look with a knit and not a suit. Maybe this sleeve length is a bit sportier?
