A group of activists, including acclaimed author, poet and environmentalist Wendell Berry, have occupied Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear’s office over this Valentine’s Day weekend and are demanding that the governor meet with them to discuss the devastating effects mountaintop removal coal mining is having on Eastern Kentucky.
