ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AP) — The incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo, who has refused to relinquish power after a recent election, ordered all United Nations peacekeepers to leave Ivory Coast immediately. The United Nations — along with the African Union, the United States and the European Union — endorsed his challenger, Alassane Ouattara, as the winner in that election. United Nations peacekeepers have been providing protection at the hotel where Mr. Ouattara has tried to govern.
