Panetta: US Forces "Here to Stay" in Pacific
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told his Japanese counterpart the US presence in the Pacific region is “here to stay”. He says there has been progress on both sides in reducing US troop numbers in Okinawa, a thorny political issue in Japan. (Oct. 25)
