Caddie Steve Williams had some harsh words for Tiger Woods a day after the star golfer fired him, terminating their 12-year relationship. Williams said he was disappointed in the timing of Woods’ decision, especially after he stayed loyal to him throughout his sex scandal. “I’m not disappointed in the fact that I got fired, but I’m just disappointed in the timing of it, given the fact about how loyal I have been to him,” he told CNN affiliate Mediaworks. “And that loyalty obviously didn’t mean much to him.” He also talked how he lost respect for the golfer when the 14-time major champion’s infidelities were made public. “Well, I think when you’re great friends with somebody and a situation like this occurs, you obviously lose some kind of respect,” he said. Williams, who claimed to have no knowledge of Woods’ infidelity 18 months ago, noted that Woods’ sex scandal was “the most difficult period” he has ever been through in his life. Williams also told the New Zealand Herald that “wasted the last two years” of his life because Tiger has “played infrequently, he’s been injured and played poorly.” Scroll down to watch the video.
