(CNN) — Syrian forces moved into a city near the Lebanese border Sunday, detaining dozens of people, residents said. Tanks rumbled in before dawn into Zabadani, about 25 miles north of Damascus.Residents of the city had called for the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad in several demonstrations since anti-government protests took hold of the country four months ago. One resident, who did not want his name used for fear of reprisal, said troops rounded up people indiscriminately — including several who were waiting by the side of a street to go to work.
