After a nine-day stay, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge bid Canada au revoir, arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday afternoon. They immediately headed over to Variety’s Venture Capital and New Media Summit at The Beverly Hilton hotel. For her first outfit on American soil, the former-Kate Middleton chose a belted sheath similar to the “Peridot Crepe Dress” by Roksanda Ilincic, a London-based designer best known for dressing red carpet sirens like Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone…as well as First Lady Michelle Obama. Later, the couple stopped by a private reception at the British Consul-General’s residence where Catherine wore the Maja silk dress by Diane Von Furstenberg in “Lawn” a.k.a. green. She paired nude-colored pumps with each ensemble. On Saturday afternoon, the Duchess stepped out to Santa Barbara Racquet and Polo Club for a Foundation Polo Challenge that benefits the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry in one more frock –a silver-and-marble-grey, hand-painted chinoiserie silk dress by Jenny Packham. She paired the number with the LK Bennett “Sliver” shoe in dark taupe and a clutch. Check out Catherine’s inaugural stateside outfits.
