Does our fantasy team get two hits for this shot? While this hit by Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki produced what might be considered a standard single, it didn’t start off that way. Tulo’s swing actually made contact with the ball twice, altering the course of the hit. The somewhat miraculous hit didn’t stop the Yankees from an 8-3 victory on Saturday, but it did give the batter a base. If you watch the video below you can actually hear the the double hit for yourself, though it’s hard to see without slow-motion (MLB.com slowed down the swing for the video below as well). While we’ve seen our share of weird hits, we have to agree with Yahoo Sports that this is one of the first times we’ve actually seen what a double-hit like this looks like this precisely. WATCH:
