CAIRO – Egypt’s prosecutor general says former President Hosni Mubarak is too ill to be imprisoned to await trial on charges he conspired in the deadly shootings of protesters who forced him from power. A government-chosen panel of physicians reported that Mubarak’s heart condition put him at risk of a sudden attack. The 83-year-old former leader suffers from atrial fibrillation and depression, making him unfit for transfer to prison.
