“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” Though “A Tale of Two Cities” and “Pride and Prejudice” are not particularly similar, they do both share unforgettable first sentences. Without that amazing first sentence, you’re not reading the rest of the book. There are some so great that we never forget them.
