A 12ft bronze statue of Pope John Paul II designed by architect Oliviero Rainaldi received so much criticism in the entire Rome much more by the Vatican. The statue has been describe to as having “little resemblance” and even by passers would have mistaken it to look more like Italy’s wartime dictator Benito Mussolini.
