Details of the contents of Osama bin Laden’s Pakistani compound are continuing to emerge, with the latest reported discovery — a “fairly extensive” stash of “electronically recorded” pornography — setting international media ablaze with speculation about the al Qaeda leader’s personal life yet again. Although much remains shrouded in mystery, a more complete picture of bin Laden, his family and his associates is beginning to form. In addition to extensive al Qaeda data (much of which comprised the plans for future terrorist attacks on the U.S.) and bin Laden’s personal diary, other surprising finds include a marijuana crop located just yards from the compound. Local sources also spoke of bin Laden’s thirst for Coca-Cola and Pepsi, two products long associated with the Western commercialism al Qaeda and its affiliates profess to despise.
