Kate Middleton chose a tiara fit for a queen. Queen Elizabeth II to be precise. The head of the Windsor clan loaned Kate her Cartier ‘halo’ tiara for her long walk down the aisle. The dazzling piece of headgear was commissioned in 1936 by the Duke of York (who would later become King George VI)
