Christopher Nolan Wanted for “Blade Runner” Sequel/Prequel We just reported that Alcon Entertainment has acquired the rights to “Blade Runner” with plans of developing a sequel or prequel to the original film. io9 has now caught up with the producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson to find out if they are leaning toward making a sequel or a prequel. “We don’t know, we just don’t know yet,” said Kosove. “We will have a process where we will hear different ideas from writers or from potential directors before determining.” ( Read Blade Runner Sequel more… ) “Blade Runner” sequel in the works? I can hear groans in the back of the room already, but one thing that Alcon producers would not be allowed to do is the dreaded straight remake, and as a matter of fact company co-founder Broderick Johnson says, “we never would want to remake it”. I’m not sure if he can be trusted though, if I were ever to write a screenplay for some sort of college comedy I would probably name the jerk head of the jock fraternity Broderick Johnson.
