Turning Plant Matter Into Renewable Oils
A Calif. Laboratory is turning what appears to be ordinary pond scum into a new source of renewable energy. The idea has caught on so quickly that the US Military has ordered 150000 gallons of ship and jet fuel from the lab. (Oct. 27)
