Central Florida Fair honors culinary arts Tilt-A-Whirl here I come. The Central Florida Fair opens Thursday, and I’m a sucker for midway rides and the vendor food — which I would never eat any other time of the year. The fair offers dozens of daily chef demonstrations as well as a visual feast of culinary home economics at its best with competition for baked goods, canned fruits and decorated cakes. The fair runs through March 6. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 students and seniors, $5 for children ages 6-10. Ride bands are $20-$25.
